Warehouse checks for Business Central, designed with you first
Shelves and bins should not be loaded past what they can safely hold. Describe the check your warehouse needs. AppoGen shows you the design before the build.
The problem
Nobody notices an overloaded bin until there is a problem. The limit is written on a label or in a manager's head. The person putting stock away never sees it at the moment of decision.
How an extension helps
An extension can add a field to a record, such as a weight limit on a bin, and a rule that uses it. The rule can warn the person putting stock away, block the action, or only log it. It can also add a report for the warehouse manager. Your design chooses between warning and blocking. A warning is gentler, and a block is stricter.
How AppoGen handles the request
Describe the check: which bins, which limit, and who should see the warning.
We write it down as a requirements document and ask about unclear cases, such as bins with no limit set. You approve it.
We check how standard Business Central handles bins and capacity, and say what is already supported.
You review the storyboard, with an illustrative screen preview of the warning and the manager's list. Comment on any scene. Approve one version.
Quote. The price follows the size of the approved design.
Build, test, review. Tested against the acceptance criteria in your approved design, reviewed by a separate AI reviewer that did not write it.
Sandbox first, then production once you accept.
What you receive
A requirements document, a storyboard, a functional document, an HTML5 training manual for warehouse staff and the manager, and the installed extension.
An example
Suppose the warehouse wants a weight limit for each bin. The design would warn when put-away would go over it, and show a list of bins close to their limit. That design adds one new screen, changes two, and adds one kind of record and one report. It is a simple job. This is an illustration, not a delivered app.
Questions
Warning or block?
You choose in the design. The storyboard shows what the person on the floor would see.
Does it need hardware or scanners?
Tell us in the request. We ask about anything unclear.
Can I try it without touching live stock?
You test in your sandbox, a safe copy of your system, first, ideally with the CRONUS sample company.
Will standard Business Central already do this?
We check and tell you honestly.
How long does it take?
It depends on the size of the extension and how many review rounds you need.
Can I add a check later?
As a change request priced only on the difference, within your plan's allowance.
